Pumpkin Patch Activity
Today, Ms. Kane’s, Ms. Jones’s, and Mr. Denton’s classes took a walk down to Central Park for a special fall adventure. When they arrived, they discovered that pumpkins had been hidden all around the hillside! Each student had to search carefully through the bushes, trees, and rocks to find the pumpkin with their name on it.
After everyone had found their pumpkins, some of Mr. Cleaveley’s Grade 7 students joined in to help roll pumpkins down the hill. Students made predictions about how far each pumpkin would roll — it was a fun mix of fun, movement, and autumn excitement!
We are thankful to the parent volunteers who walked down to the park with us, the teachers who helped organize and label the pumpkins and to the grade 6/7 class who helped to hide the pumpkins. What a fun morning!
